As part of the AABS 2026 Connect Conference, the AABS Academy Workshop explored how benchmarking can serve as a strategic tool for institutional development beyond traditional compliance and accreditation requirements. Led by Mathias Falkenstein, Director of the DBA in Higher Education Leadership and Management (HELM) at Luiss Business School, LUISS University, the session examined how African business schools can align benchmarking practices with institutional missions, strengthen quality assurance processes, and use comparative insights to drive evidence-based strategic decision-making. ✨🌍

The workshop also highlighted the importance of building sustainable, data-informed cultures within institutions while developing impact narratives that reflect institutional relevance, growth, and distinctiveness.
